NUS Business School Receives $150,000 Gift from Yamato Holdings Co., Ltd for Research

The National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School and Yamato Holdings Co., Ltd launched the Yamato Faculty Research Fund today, with a generous gift of S$150,000 from Yamato Holdings Co., Ltd.


NUS Business School Alumni Association Bursary

NUS Business School Alumni Association gave out the NUSBSA Bursary Award for the 4thyearand proudly announced the launch of yet another new fundraising initiative – the NUSBSA Student Experience Fund.

Since 2008, more than 70 alumni, faculty members and friends had collectively made an endowed gift of more than $300,000 towards theestablishment of the NUS Business School Alumni Association (NUSBSAA) Bursary. Twelve sub-named bursaries were created under the Fund for alumni and donors who each donated $25,000 or more. With a dollar-for-dollar matching grant from the Singapore government, the total amount of $600,000 had benefitted more than 35 students to date. Each bursary has a value of S$2,500 and carries no bond.

NUS The NUSBSA Student Experience Fund

The newly launched NUSBSA Student Experience Fund on the other hand, was setup with the donations of S$278,700 in endowed funds which will grow to a total of almost S$700,000, after a S$1.50 for S$1.00 matching grant from the Government. With this fund, at least 11 undergraduate students facing financial difficulties will now receive at least S$1,800 to defray their overseas expenses, such as costs of accommodation and daily necessities to go on semester-long exchange programmes with prestigious foreign partner universities.


Li & Fung Scholarships established at NUS Business School to fund student exchange programmes

A new scholarship has been established at NUS Business School to help fund undergraduate exchange programmes following a grant from the Victor and William Fung Foundation, a Hong Kong-based charity established by Dr Victor Fung, Group Chairman, and Dr William Fung, Group Managing Director, of the Li & Fung Group.


NUS Business School Alumni Have Raised More Than Half a Million for Bursaries

Initiated by Mr Yeo Keng Joon (MBA alumnus, Class of 1985), a group of dedicated alumni have raised $289,500 endowed funds to support bursaries (each worth $2,500) in perpetuity at the School.


10 new bursaries, thanks to NUS Business School alumni

A group of dedicated NUS Business School alumni have successfully raised $250,000 for the NUS Business School Alumni Association (NUSBSAA) Bursary Fund - which will mean 10 bursaries for the School's financially needy students.


Alumni raised $200,000 at NUS Business School Golf Challenge

Our School alumni community raised more than $200,000 at the inaugural Business School Golf Challenge held on July 28 at the Marina Bay Golf Course. With the government's dollar-for-dollar matching and more donations coming in, the total amount raised will be close to half a million dollar.
