Organized by NUS Business School Global Alumni Network Office (GANO), the alumni in Ho Chi Minh City recently gathered in an informal setting at Hoang Yen Restaurant (Vietnam) on 25 February 2008. During the dinner, Ms Jeanine Chen, Manager of GANO updated on GANO's several new initiatives for alumni - the set-up of a dedicated alumni office, the alumni portal and the alumni e-newsletter. During the update, she highlighted the intention of starting up a Business School alumni chapter in Vietnam as the number of Vietnamese alumni from NUS Business School grow by the day. Ms Nguyen Hoai Thu (BBA Hons 2003) who really enjoyed that lighthearted evening said, "I'm really happy that there is so much interest in Vietnam!" In unison, the gathered alumni agreed they were proud to be alumni of NUS Business school as it provided opportunities for them to expand their network, and create mutual benefits for both the School and the alumni. They were appreciative of the arranged session and look forward to more of such networking activities in the near future. In three other separate meetings, Ms Jeanine Chen also visited Ms Marielle Genet (APEX-E 2003) - Business Development Director of Accor Hospitality, Mr Hoang Duc Minh (MBA 2005) - Investment Associate of VinaCapital Investment Management Ltd and Mr Huynh Quang Hai (MSc MOT 2000) - Executive Director & CEO of VSIP at their work places. The next gathering in Ho Chi Minh City takes place on 4 April during the NUS Business School Alumni-Industry Networking Evening.
