Members of the Mandarin Alumni teed off at the Singapore Island Country Club for an afternoon game of golf on 23 May 2008.
Explains Ms Chua Lian Tee (Executive Education), the 6th President of the Mandarin Alumni Management Committee, "We try to gather regularly so we can foster even closer relationships amongst members."
Splitting themselves into two flights, the members teed off at the first and tenth tee, laying down friendly challenges and bantering as the game proceeded.
Even members who were not able to play turned up to lend their support.
Mr William Chung (Executive Education), one of the founding members of the Mandarin Alumni's Management Committee in 1992, was also present to support the event. He had turned up despite his injury due to his love for the game and the opportunity to meet up with fellow alumni
"I think it is important to support such events as it breeds continuity and helps to generate interest for future activities," he adds.
