Three distinguished NUS Business School alumni shared their views and experiences on how Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) can leverage on effective empowerment and delegation to motivate staff to manage different issues and projects more systematically.

This was part of a lively and interactive Management Seminar Series for Entrepreneurs held on 11 April 2008 at the Swissotel Merchant Court Hotel.

The annual event was jointly organized by the NUS Business School Mandarin Alumni, the Office for APEX-C MBA and the Office for Executive Education. Dr Lan Luh Luh, Assistant Dean of NUS Business School, opened the seminar.

Titled "Empowerment and Delegation - A critical success factor for SMEs", the event attracted an audience of about 90 people, with a majority comprising young entrepreneurs and businessmen from a variety of industries and corporations

The forum's distinguished panel included Mr Robin Ng (Executive Education), Chairman of Sin Thai Hin Group of Companies; Mr Huang Chuan Sheng (APEX-C MBA 2005), CEO of Ma Kuang Healthcare Group; and Mr Desmond Peh (APEX-C MBA 2006), Chairman and CEO of Just Education Holdings Pte Ltd. Dr Anthony Tseng (PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, University of Utah, USA) chaired the panel and facilitated an engaging session.

The thought-provoking seminar offered the audience a rare opportunity to catch up with the latest business management know-how and also allowed them to network.
