37 members of the NUS Business School Alumni Association (NUSBSAA) met for their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 29 May 2008 at the NUSS Kent Ridge Guild House.

At the meeting, Mr Peter Tay (BBA Hons 1975, MBA 1987), current President of NUSBSAA, went through the past year's events and accounts, which was approved by all members present. Mr Aw Beng Teck, Director of GANO was also present at the meeting to officiate the successful election of the newly elected Executive Committee.

Elected for the fifth year running as the President of NUSBSAA, Mr Tay said, 'I have a great committee and I really appreciate the support that they have given to the alumni so far. We nevertheless hope to see more new members taking up leadership roles within the committee."

Sharing the future plans for the alumni, Mr Tay highlighted their plans for an international symposium on business related topics within the ASEAN and the Asia Pacific region. 'We want to collaborate more with business alumni associations outside of Singapore," he explained.

Following the AGM was dinner and a wine tasting session brought together by Auric Pacific.

'Tonight's AGM was well represented by all the different courses and everyone present took the initiative to participate actively in the meeting," commented Mr Edward Lee (BAcc 1975), Director and Chief Financial Officer of Netstar Network Int, Singapore Pte Ltd and current Auditor for NUSBSAA. 'This goes to show that people are committed and have genuine interest in the alumni and I am really heartened to see that."

Ms Ivy Lee (BBA 1998), Brand Consulting Manager of Su Yeang Pte Ltd and current assistant secretary for NUSBSA, added, 'The turnout tonight was fantastic. It's great knowing we can really count on each individual to show up and support the alumni."

Concluding the day, Mr Tay called out to all the business school alumni and graduates 'Your alma mater needs you. It's time to give back!"
