PhD Graduate to lead UK Services Research

Alumna Professor Irene Ng receives prestigious UK fellowship award to lead research on services.

Alumna Professor Irene Ng, (PhD 1997) was recently awarded the prestigious Advanced Institute of Management Research (AIM) Fellowship on Services.

The AIM fellowship is a highly prestigious award in the UK where, in order to support and encourage cutting edge innovation in management research, AIM takes the unusual step of backing people rather than projects with its Fellowship scheme.

All individuals appointed to AIM Fellowships are recognized leaders in their own fields. AIM supports the Fellows to generate knowledge suitable for academic audiences in scholarly settings while engaging with practitioners and policy makers throughout their research.

As part of a cohort of 6 new Services Fellows joining AIM, Professor Ng, who was also appointed the Lead Service Fellow, will take on a leadership role for the Services Fellows cohort.

This will see her coordinating activities and joining the Directorate of AIM to ensure that AIM's entire range of activities is appropriately integrated.

AIM is a UK leader in the field of management research, bringing academics together with business, public sector and policy thinkers in order to develop and deliver research of a world class standard which has an immediate and significant impact on management practice.

NUS Business School congratulates Prof Irene Ng for receiving the award.
