Learn more about being an Alumni Volunteer Advisor
Alumni Volunteer Advisors are experienced alumni who avail themselves online
to provide exclusive 1-to-1 guidance and advice to other alumni in the areas of
career development, or their knowledge about a certain company or industry. Interaction
will be mainly confined to online communication (via email).
As a Volunteer Advisor, you will:
- Share your industry experiences
- Provide advice to alumni on industry or company specific questions they may have
- Be an advisor and a friend to the alumni
A typical profile of alumni contacting you will include alumni who:
- need advice on a potential mid-career change
- are considering to rejoin the work force after a hiatus
- need career progression advice in a specific field or industry
How the Career Guidance Service Works
- 1) We will feature a short profile of you on the Career Guidance Page.
- 2) Alumni who need advice can contact you directly through email – and attach a
short introduction of themselves together with their questions.
- 3) You will decide on how best to communicate with the alumni (recommended mode
of communication is email).
